Museum-quality mounting is used for interiors and exhibition. Items are mounted on clean, compatible supporting fabric, which is attached to sealed custom stretcher bars, backed with dust covers, and protected with acrylic covers or prepared for framing.
C.O.F.F. builds lightweight stretchers for small items, such as needlework; pegged stretchers for heavier textiles, such as quilts and tapestries; collapsible stretchers for especially large textiles or areas difficult to access.
All wood is sealed to prevent migration of wood acids to the textiles.
C.O.F.F. also provides:
- Acrylic boxes (plain and ultra-violet light-filtered)
- Sleeves for hanging rods
- Velcro Stripping
- Padded frames with poles, for displaying items such as Japanese Kimono, Chinese Robes, Mexican Huipils and Peruvian Mantles.
C.O.F.F. arranges for:
- Installation of mounted textiles
- Transportation of textiles
