Fiber and Fabric Analysis

Fibers are identified by polarized microscopy. Yarn construction and weave structure are identified. An analysis requiring complicated procedures is contracted to a textile laboratory.

Fees

Fees vary according to the type, value and size of textile or costume, and services performed. Written proposals are prepared, summarizing the services recommended. The client is asked to examine the proposal carefully to ensure that the measures are fully understood, and the client's signature is required.

Condition Reports

Condition reports are made for all projects involving cleaning and restoration, if requested.
